Elevator Permit

New Installations or Major Upgrades

All elevator application filings must be submitted through DOB NOW: Build. Previously submitted ELV1 job filings with a current BIS job number will continue to be processed through the Elevator Unit.

Alterations, Modernizations, Repairs, or Replacements

File an Elevator Alteration in DOB NOW: Build to remove or dismantle an existing device or perform a minor alteration, repair, or replacement.

All permits must be posted in public until the work has been completed and signed-off.
