    Employees and their dependents, which include a legally married spouse, registered domestic partner, and children up to the age of 26 are eligible for health insurance through the City of New York.  Upon enrollment, you must provide supporting documentation for your dependents. If you decide to enroll, your Health Insurance will begin on your 91st day of employment.  For those appointed from a Civil Service list, in a non-competitive title (except Community Assistant), or transitioning from College Aide to Full-Time employee, your health benefits will be effective on your first day of employment.
