Board Meetings

Public Hearing and Regular Meeting

Community Board 4 (the full board) meets on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June at 6pm in the Hope Gardens Older Adult Center at 195 Linden Street and via Zoom (registration required to participate virtually). The board is on recess during July and August. At these meetings, board members address items of concern to the community. Board meetings are open to the public and a portion of each meeting is reserved for the Board to hear from members of the public. See the public hearing and regular meeting newsletter below.

Committee Meetings

The Board currently has six committees, including:

  • Arts/Culture/Technology + Youth and Education
  • Civic/Public Safety/Religious + Health/Human Service/Senior Citizens/Veterans
  • District Office
  • Economic Development + Housing and Land Use
  • Environmental Protection/Transportation/Sanitation + Parks and Recreation
  • Permits and Licenses.

Some committees meet more often than others may convene during the summer recess with support from a majority of committee members. For more information, please check the board's calendar or contact the District Office at bk04@cb.nyc.gov.

District Service Cabinet Meetings

Community Board 4 also hosts a District Service Cabinet meeting on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:30am. Agency liaisons and elected officials/their representatives are invited to share updates and important announcements. The District Manager similarly reports on any issues that need additional attention from city agencies and/or local elected officials.
