Ocean Hill-Brownsville

Community District #16, commonly referred to as Ocean Hill-Brownsville, is located in East Brooklyn and comprises 1,230.6 acres of land. It is bounded on the north by Broadway, on the south by Linden Boulevard, on the east by Van Sinderen Avenue, and on the west by East 98th Street, East New York Avenue, Ralph Avenue, and Atlantic Avenue.

According to the 2023 census, the district's population was 101,000 residents, with 64.3% identifying as Black or African American, 10.1% as other races and Hispanic, 5.24% as White non-Hispanic, 4.66% as Two or More Races (including Other Hispanic), and 3.55% as White Hispanic. 

The median household income in 2023 rose from $36,871 to $41,322, a 12.1% increase. The median property value increased by 0.746% to $621,300.
