Statement from U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on Health Department's Expanded Federal Health Bucks Funding

“This funding will help our lower income New Yorkers have access to the fresh, wholesome fruits and vegetables they need to live healthy and productive lives. When New Yorkers use these dollars in their communities to purchase fruits and vegetables directly from farmers, our consumers and our farmers all benefit. I will continue to urge all of my colleagues to support robust funding for this program.”

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is the first New York Senator to serve on the Senate Agriculture Committee in nearly 40 years.
