“Today’s Council vote formalizes a responsible, progressive, and honest budget that will build a stronger, safer, and fairer New York City while protecting our long-term fiscal health. Together with the Council, we are making targeted investments that will lift up New Yorkers around the city, while also boosting reserves even further and keeping out-year gaps below historical averages.
