Before DCWP can issue a Sidewalk Café license to your business, DCWP must receive approval from other agencies.

Applicants will receive a notification by mail from DCWP. If the application to operate a sidewalk café is approved, DCWP will issue and include a license document as part of the notification by mail. If notification is not received, please call 311 and ask for “Sidewalk Cafe License.” Note: Applicants may not operate a sidewalk cafe until they have received the license document.
