It's time.

NYC is a global hub for innovation and design expertise. Through Government x Design, the City is ready to work with the design community to transform how government interacts with the public through the Design Services Master Contract.

Advancing design services for City government.

The Department of Information Technology and Telecommunication (DOITT) and the Mayor's Office are developing the Government x Design Innovation Services Master Contract (GxD), which will allow City agencies to more easily create and deliver effective, efficient, and equitable public services. GxD is moving beyond digital applications to include design practices that can shape programs and policies.

A new way of working together.

The City will release a Request for Proposals (RFP) in 2017 which will call for submissions showing expertise in digital design, communication design or service design. The City will award Master Contracts to designers or firms for each discipline as well as those that can provide services in all three categories.
