"The final bill before me today is Introductory Number 675, sponsored at the request of the Administration by Council Members Weprin and Comrie.

"Introductory Number 675 extends the date for the submission of the Preliminary Budget to the City Council by approximately one week from January 16th to January 24th and extends the date for submission of the Preliminary Management Report by approximately two weeks from January 30th to February 14th. Introductory Number 675 also makes corresponding adjustments for the other Charter-mandated actions required during the preliminary budget process.  This action is necessary so the City can more fully assess its fiscal outlook before submitting the Preliminary Budget.
