NYC DOT Resumes Major Resurfacing Project Work Along The FDR Drive

Next week, sections of the FDR will remain milled and rough road condition may exist during day and night time until Saturday, October 17

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) will resume its major resurfacing project along the FDR Drive after the Pope Francis’ visit to NYC and the UN General Assembly. Priority repair work is scheduled to happen each week during the overnight hours and continue for several months. The repairs will be done on various sections of the highway and will involve one or more intermittent lane closures each night.

Next week, sections of the FDR will remain milled and rough road condition may exist during day and night time until Saturday, October 17.

During this project, motorists should anticipate delays in the vicinity of the work zones. All work is weather dependent.

Details for the week of October 12, 2015 are:

Work Zone:        Southbound section of the FDR Drive from East 48th St to 42nd St.

Hours:                 Approximately 11:00 pm – 5:00 am, Tuesday – Saturday (weather permitting)
