Pay Penalty In Person

You will need the number from your Summons in order to pay the fine. The payment method is determined by the type of summons you received. In order to pay the penalty you will need the number from your summons.

Vehicle for Hire Cases

All payments must be made to the TLC directly. UnderTLC rules:

• You must pay the fine within 30 days of the date of the decision.
• If you fail to pay the fine on time, TLC will place your license on suspension.

Consumer Cases

Pay in person is available by appointment only. Below are ways to schedule an appointment:

2. Schedule appointment by phone: (212) 436-0259 (Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

You can then visit the DCWP office which is located at 42 Broadway, 8th floor, New York, NY 10004.

All Other Cases

You may pay in person, with a check, credit card, or money order, at our Manhattan office located at 66 John Street, 10th floor, NY, NY 10038 and our Staten Island office located at 350 St. Marks Place during normal business hours and on certain days at our Long Island City office located at 31-00 47 Avenue, 3rd floor, Long Island City, NY 11101. Please call the Help Center at (212) 436-0845 or email the Clerk’s Office at clerksoffice@oath.nyc.gov in advance to learn if the payments can be accepted at the Long Island City location on a certain upcoming date.

Your check or money order must be made out to: Finance Commissioner, City of New York.
