DCAS administers internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students to introduce them to public service. Use the links below for information on a specific program:

Public Service Corps (PSC) - Paid and/or academic credit work-study internships for undergraduate and graduate students eligible for financial aid.

Summer Internship Program (SIP) - Paid and unpaid summer internships for undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled or accepted in a college or university.

Automotive High School Internship Program - Paid hands-on automotive internships, in partnership with NYC Department of Education, for high-school students with valuable hands on experience maintaining high-profile City vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to learn from leading City fleet experts and professionals who service the largest municipal fleet in the United States. The program places 50 students from public high schools at municipal garages citywide.

CTE Facilities Internship Program – Paid six-week internship for public high school students in Career and Technical Education programs to help maintain New York City government buildings and gain technical skills in their area of study. This is a unique opportunity to learn from expert professionals in Building Services, Facilities Operations, Fire & Life Safety, Computerized Maintenance Management System, and Contract Services who are responsible for 55 buildings citywide. In addition, students get insight into a variety of possible career paths in these areas with the City of New York. For more information contact the CTE Coordinator.
