The Uniform Land Use Review Procedure - or ULURP - is New York City's approval process for changes to how land is used, as required by the City Charter. The goal of ULURP is to provide a standardized and transparent review process for important land use decisions that incorporates public feedback.
Key participants include Community Boards, Borough Boards, Borough Presidents, the City Planning Commission, the City Council and Mayor.
Not all development requires ULURP. However, changes to the rules for development - called zoning - must go through public review and approval.

A permit is required to conduct a procession, parade, demonstration, or athletic event in New York City. The NYPD reviews and approves or disapproves these applications. The review process includes conferral on a citywide-level with other city agencies whose operations may be impacted by the event.
Applications for permits to use for sound devices can be obtained and filed at the precinct where the prospective event is expected to take place. For Bronx Community Board 9, that would be the 43rd Precinct.
Download and fill out a Sound Device Application. The application must be filed at the precinct where the device is to be used no less than five days before the event. There is a $45 fee, payable by certified check or money order. If approved, permits are normally ready for pickup on the day of the event or as directed by the precinct staff.

One of the State Liquor Authority's main functions is issuing licenses and permits. The licensing review process is dependent on the type of application or permit applied for, the current volume of applications, and the completeness and accuracy of the application submitted. The review process currently takes approximately 22-26 weeks for most types of applications; however, most retail businesses and all manufacturing businesses are eligible to apply for a temporary retail operating permit or to apply for a temporary manufacturing permit that allows many applicants to be open and operating for alcoholic beverage sales and/or production typically in less than 30 days. Any deficiencies in your application may result in delays or disapproval of your application.
