Foster Care Youth Experience Surveys

The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), in partnership with our foster care provider agencies, conducts an annual Foster Care Youth Experience Survey in accordance with Local law 146 of 2016. The legislation requires ACS to provide to all youth in foster care, age 13 and older, an annual survey regarding their experiences in foster care. The purpose of the survey is to better understand the experiences of youth while in foster care, pertaining to their safety, permanency, and well-being.
