A Certificate of Fitness is required to use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or compressed natural gas (CNG) in engine fuel systems. Many forklifts, which are commonly used in warehouses and on building sites, are fueled by LPG or CNG. These gases are extremely flammable. Safety procedures must be strictly followed to reduce the potential danger.
This Certificate of Fitness is valid only for the specific person to whom it is issued and can be used anywhere within New York City.
