Before you submit your application

    The hive(s) being registered must first be registered with the state by completing the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets' Honey Bee Health Information form. Submit the form below.

      New Beekeepers must submit their hive registration form within 30 days of establishing their hives(s).  If registering for the first time please select "New" on the top of the registration form.

        You must provide your block and lot number on the application.  This information is available by conducting a building search using the link below.

          Buildings Information System (BIS)

          There is no fee to register as a beekeeper.

            You must submit a separate registration form for each hive.

              Steps to apply online:

              There are two ways to submit your registration electronically:

              1) Complete an online registration form.

              2) Complete a fillable registration form (pdf) and email it to beekeeping@health.nyc.gov.

              Select "New" as the registration type.

                Read the beekeeping requirements and complete the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Beekeeper Registration form.

                  Submit the completed form via USPS regular mail, to the address below.
