STATEMENT BY MAYORAL COUNSEL DENNISON YOUNG REGARDING THE FIRST THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE TASK FORCE MEETING
"The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an important New York City and American tradition. The Task Force will review some of the guidelines under which the parade operates to try to avert the tragic accident that occurred last week. The Task Force is reviewing such things as the size of balloons, the pressure of the balloons and the way they are handled. We are looking forward to working with Macy's. The members of the Task Force will report their findings and recommendations to the Mayor once their investigation concludes."
