MAYOR MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG WISHES NEW YORKERS AN EID MUBARAK

"With one of the holiest times of the year upon us for people of the Muslim faith, I want to extend my best wishes to everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha. Muslim New Yorkers have contributed tremendously to the cultural, social and economic vitality of New York, helping make our great City even better. Like all New Yorkers, Muslims in our city are an extremely diverse group, but they are all linked by a common faith – a faith that teaches peace, love and respect. Today, we live in the multicultural capital of the world, yet we are all New Yorkers united by the same hope of a brighter future for our children. As millions of Muslims here and across the world come together with their families to celebrate Eid al-Adha, I wish them nothing but happiness during this blessed holiday. Eid Mubarak."
