FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PR- 518-10 December 20, 2010 MAYOR BLOOMBERG SIGNS LEGISLATION REQUIRING THE COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS TO INCLUDE NEW INFORMATION IN THE ANNUAL REPORT Remarks by Mayor Bloomberg at a Public Hearing on Local Laws "The final bill before me today is Introductory Number 396-A, sponsored by Council Members Rose, Chin, Dromm, Foster, James, Palma, Van Bramer, Williams, Rodriguez, Gennaro, Lappin, Garodnick, Jackson, Eugene, Greenfield, Lander, Reyna and Sanders. "Introductory Number 396-A requires the Human Rights Commission to include information in their annual report concerning the inquiries they receive, complaints that are filed, as well as their education and outreach efforts. "I would like to thank Human Rights Commissioner Patricia Gatling and her staff for their work on this bill along with my Office of City Legislative Affairs.
