MAYOR MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG APPOINTS SHEA FINK AS SENIOR ADVISOR

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today announced the appointment of Shea Fink as Senior Advisor to the Mayor.  As Senior Advisor, she will oversee scheduling and advance as well as advise the Mayor on community outreach strategies and other initiatives. Shea Fink succeeds Vincent La Padula, who left his position to become Vice President for JP Morgan Chase.

“Shea Fink’s experience and knowledge of New York City and its government has been an invaluable asset to me and my administration,” Mayor Bloomberg said.  “I rely on her on a daily basis and know that in her new position she will continue to make a real difference in the lives of New Yorkers.”

“I am honored that Mayor Bloomberg’s has asked me to serve as his Senior Advisor,” said Shea Fink. “Being part of this administration has been a rewarding and gratifying experience.  I am excited to continue working on issues that are affecting the neighborhoods that make up this great City.”

Shea Fink has been the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor since 2002 and has been responsible for the Mayor’s schedule and his advance.  She worked as an advance and scheduling aide in the Mayor’s 2001 campaign and transition.  From 1999 to 2001, she was the Government Channel Manager for Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., where she developed strategies to expand Coke’s government business programs. She also served as the Deputy Director of Advance under Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani from 1995-1999 as well as an assistant to a former Council Member and to the Chair of the New York Republican County Committee.  A Queens native, she earned a BA. from Queens College, graduating in 1992.
