MAYOR MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG ANNOUNCES HOTLINE FOR INFORMATION REGARDING POSSIBLE ILLEGAL STRIKE BY TRANSIT WORKERS UNION

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg announced, on his weekly show on WABC radio, a hotline to provide the latest information regarding the transit strike. The hotline is staffed by the Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Transportation and is operational from 8am to midnight on Friday and Saturday and will become 24 hours a day in case of a strike starting at 8am on Sunday, December 15th.

The hotline number can be reached either from the 212 or 718 area code and is CALL DOT (225-5368).

The Mayor also announced the following exemptions to the HOV-4 ban that would be instituted by the City in case of an illegal strike by the Transit Workers Union Local 100. The following vehicles will not be subject to the HOV-4 restrictions:
