NYC Civic Corps logoJoin the NYC Civic Corps
The NYC Civic Corps promotes civic engagement among all New Yorkers, in every neighborhood and across all five boroughs. As AmeriCorps volunteers committing one year of full-time service, NYC Civic Corps members receive a monthly stipend and an educational award to address NYC's most critical challenges. The 2010-2011 NYC Civic Corps application is now available

Become a Power Lunch Reading Buddy
Share your love of reading by joining Everybody Wins! Volunteer with students in nearby public schools for weekly reading and mentoring sessions during lunch. Volunteers are needed to read one-on-one with students, one day a week for the school year. Sign up to become a Power Lunch Buddy
 


Brighten up a Senior's Day with a Phone Call
Telephone Reassurance, an initiative launched by NYC Service and the Department for the Aging, is a service that provides older adults who live alone and/or have limited ability to leave their homes with regularly scheduled telephone calls. Volunteer from your home or your office with just one phone call!


Enjoy Coffee, Conversation and Volunteering
The Dialogue Project is currently recruiting English speaking volunteers to work with new immigrants learning English. Participants will meet once a week for five weeks to discuss diverse topics and interests in English. Volunteer your time here
 

AIDS Walk 2010
Volunteer for the AIDS Walk 2010. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate one of NYC's biggest events of the year. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, to cheer walkers on along the route and to help tally donations and much more. Click here for more information or to volunteer for the event.
 

Join the Parks Greeter Corps!
The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation is currently recruiting volunteers to launch the new Parks Greeter Corps, a team of motivated volunteers who will act as ambassadors for a number of busy parks throughout the five boroughs. Register here to become a Parks Greeter
