NYC Civic Corps LogoApply now to be an NYC Civic Corps Host Site!
Applications are now being accepted for 2011-2012 NYC Civic Corps host sites. NYC Civic Corps is an AmeriCorps program that unites a diverse group of full-time professional volunteers to support nonprofit organizations and City agencies that want to use more volunteers, but struggle to manage and support sustainable volunteer programs. Corps members are dispatched to host sites for one year with the charge of developing sustainable volunteer programs and organizational capacity. The ultimate goal of the NYC Civic Corps is to engage more New Yorkers in efforts to help our neighbors and tackle our toughest challenges. Request an application here.

New Website Feature for Registered Nonprofit Organizations
We are excited to introduce a new tracking feature on our website. Now organizations registered on nyc.gov/service will receive automatic emails alerting them when they receive volunteer referrals. This is a great way for your organization to keep track of inquiries and to increase communication with volunteers. For more information or to learn how to take advantage, email us at nycservice@cityhall.nyc.gov.
