Family Health Plus is available to single adults, couples without children and parents with limited income. You must be a resident of New York State. The Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Program is a New York State-sponsored prescription plan for senior citizens who need help paying for their prescriptions. Eligibility is based on income. Seniors who receive full Medicaid benefits are not eligible for EPIC benefits. Seniors with other prescription coverage can join EPIC to pay for drug costs not covered by the other plan.
