HHC KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL HOSTS FORUM ON “GUNS DOWN, LIFE UP” ANTI-VIOLENCE INITIATIVE
The Kings County Hospital Center (KCHC) Community Advisory Board (CAB) held its Annual Public Meeting on Saturday, June 27, focusing on Youth Anti-Violence Initiatives. The Forum was organized in collaboration with the “Guns Down, Life Up” (GDLU) program of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), the Kings Against Violence Initiative (KAVI) at KCHC and other community partners.

KCHC FARMERS MARKET WILL OPEN JULY 8TH!
Kings County Hospital Center welcomes the Harvest Home Farmers Market to our campus every Wednesday from July 8, 2015 through November 25, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The market will operate on Clarkson Avenue between E.37th Street and E.38th Street. Its goal is to provide nutritious food choices to lower income areas and educate the public on making healthy dietary choices and purchase farm fresh products on a weekly basis. Harvest Home accepts Debit/Credit, Food Stamps/EBT cards, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Farmer’s Nutrition Coupons (FMNP), Senior Coupons and Health Bucks, and cash. WORLD AIDS DAY EVENT
Kings County Hospital Center will host a WORLD AIDS DAY program on Thursday, December 4th, 12 pm-2:00 pm, in the T-building auditorium, corner of Clarkson Ave. and New York Ave, Brooklyn NY 11203. The event will include: HIV testing; educational information; guest speaker Dr. Marjorie Hill, Chair of the New York State AIDS Advisory Council; and Dr. Harry Crevecoeur, HIV specialist at ENYDTC since 1992. People living with HiV/AIDS will also share their experiences. Come celebrate this day with entertainment, quizzes, prizes and refreshments! This event is free and open to everyone.
