HHC follows best practices for pain management of long term care residents, including pain assessments and re-assessments for all; the use of pain-intensity scales to help caregivers both monitor and treat pain; the administration of appropriate pain medications in a timely fashion; and simple non-pharmaceutical pain treatments such as heat packs, massage, and better bed positioning.
