NYC's 2-K Jingle Contest!
The Mamdani administration is launching FREE child care for 2-year-olds for the first time (we’re calling it 2-K!). It’s a big step on our path to delivering universal child care.
2-K applications open later this summer and we need your help spreading the word on how to apply. That’s why we’re kicking off a citywide jingle contest!
We’re inviting you to submit a 15 or 30 second 2-K jingle here — and be sure to post it online using #NYC2KJingle and tag @nycmayor. Jingles will be reviewed by a panel of special guest judges, including some familiar voices from top hits on the radio. This spring, we will announce the top 5 finalists and open voting to New Yorkers.
The winning jingle will be the official 2-K theme for NYC.

Submit your jingleAs you create your jingle, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

Jingles MUST be either 15 seconds or 30 seconds long.

Jingles MUST include the full website of 2-K registration (myschools.nyc).

All music and lyrics MUST be original — no copyrighted, trademarked, or AI-generated material.

Jingles MUST be appropriate for all audiences — no profanity, threats, suggestive content, or references to illegal or age-inappropriate substances.

You MUST be a resident of NYC and at least 18 years old to submit a jingle.

Bilingual jingles are encouraged — especially in Spanish!

Enter the contest
All submissions must comply with the 2-K Jingle Competition Rules. One entry per person. Must be over the age of 18 at time of entry and a resident of New York City. Submission must be original, either 15 or 30 seconds long, and include required program information. Threatening or unlawful submissions will be reported to law enforcement.
