I hope you’re staying dry with all the rain we’ve had. Despite the downpours, I had a great week 'Getting Stuff Done' for you and your neighbors and meeting some of you around the boroughs along the way. Here’s how we’re delivering for you:

Lifestyle medicine accessibility – NYC Health + Hospitals is empowering New Yorkers with the tools to make healthy lifestyle changes, such as one-on-one counseling, access to plant-powered diet resources and coupons, and exercise classes. See if you qualify here.
CityFHEPS expansion – Low-income New Yorkers with CityFHEPS vouchers will soon be able to rent apartments across New York state. This will help more vulnerable New Yorkers secure permanent housing in areas that are more affordable and have more space.
Curbside composting – All Brooklynites will officially have curbside composting next week! Place food scraps and food-soiled paper into your compost bin, and it’ll be picked up on recycling day. You can order a free composting bin now through 10/13!

It's time to get your annual flu shot! NYC Health has a helpful online vaccine finder to locate where to get yours, and you can get it at the same time as your updated COVID vaccine. Most insurance plans will cover your costs, but there are also no-cost locations listed in the finder for uninsured adults and children.
You can request to recover stolen SNAP benefits using this online form from the NYC Human Resources Administration. Read more on the recovery process here.
The Street Harassment Prevention Advisory Board is asking New Yorkers to fill out this survey so they can best identify communities in need of harassment prevention resources and programming.

☞ Of note: West Side Fest is taking over Manhattan’s west side with a full day of free activities this Saturday (9/30)! The west side is the best side to be this weekend with museums opening their doors for free, art-making workshops, dancing, live music, and even a block party.
