Good afternoon New Yorkers, Undoubtedly, you have now heard the news about Thursday's indictment. Let me be clear, I know I've done nothing wrong, and I am committed to continuing to fight on behalf of New Yorkers as your mayor.
From here, my attorneys will take care of the case so I can take care of this city. My day-to-day will not change because I will continue to deliver for you as your mayor, and so will the 300,000+ employees of our city government who deliver essential services to our city’s residents that make New Yorkers’ lives safer, easier, and more affordable. |

Saying "YES” to more housing – Too many families cannot find an affordable place to live in New York City, which is why our administration has proposed to build up to 108,000 new homes with our “City of Yes for Housing Opportunity” plan. This week, the City Planning Commission approved our plan, but New Yorkers cannot afford to wait any longer. I urge the City Council to listen to the voices of countless New Yorkers, pass this plan when it heads to a vote later this year, and join us in building a more affordable future for working-class families.
Continuing to transform our public schools – We announced that Melissa Aviles-Ramos will serve as the next chancellor of our city’s public schools system. Melissa is a veteran of New York City Public Schools and a lifelong educator who will build on our work transforming how our kids read, increasing math and graduation scores, instituting universal dyslexia screenings, and expanding access to early childhood education. I look forward to working with incoming-Chancellor Aviles-Ramos to continue delivering a first-rate education for our students.

Investing in a cleaner and greener NYC – Working with our federal partners, we secured another $260 million to support key infrastructure projects that will make our city more livable and affordable, including transforming the Brooklyn Marine Terminal into a modern maritime port and extending the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway in Inwood. This work will create thousands of jobs, generate billions in economic impact, and bring vibrant public spaces to more New Yorkers.
