- Expanding health care access – We announced construction is underway on a major state-of-the-art community health center that will provide comprehensive health services in Far Rockaway, including primary and specialty care, women’s health, dental, vision, podiatry, radiology, and mental health care. To make NYC the best place to raise a family, it's crucial that we provide health care access to families in historically underserved communities.
- Saving taxpayers millions, helping migrants take next steps – Thanks to our administration’s effective management and policy advocacy, we will soon be closing the Arrival Center and Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center at The Roosevelt Hotel. This closure is a key milestone and is one of 53 facilities we will close this year, as we help more migrants take the next steps in their journeys — all while saving taxpayers millions of dollars.
- Protecting workers’ rights – We forced five major businesses that violated our city’s workplace laws to pay $2.6 million in restitution to more than 3,400 New Yorkers. We will not allow businesses to add hours to workers’ schedules without their consent or schedule them for work without sufficient notice. This victory builds on the tens of millions of dollars our administration has already secured for workers since coming into office.
