Dear NYC Nightlife Community,
We hope that you have been safely enjoying the reopening of New York City. At this time, the Office of Nightlife is continuing its work to educate both businesses and patrons on the proper guidelines to operate and socialize responsibly.
As of Monday, July 6, New York City has entered Phase 3 of the reopening. On July 1, the Mayor and Governor announced that indoor dining will not reopen as part of Phase 3 in NYC and will remain postponed until further notice, due to the increase in Covid-19 cases across the country.
We know that this is tough. We recognize everyone's efforts to make sure we balance economic recovery and public health. However, it's up to you, New York, to make sure that you are operating and socializing responsibly. Don't put local businesses at risk of losing their licenses and contributing to the spread of Covid-19 by not adhering to regulations and public health measures.
Below, operators can download a helpful NYC Restaurant and Bar Opening and Operating Toolkit where you can find the most up-to-date multi-agency checklists, guidance, and window posters.
Thank you, and as always, please feel free to reach out at nightlife@media.nyc.gov if you have any questions, concerns, or for support.
