Dear Fellow New Yorker,
June was National Caribbean American Heritage month, and this past week, Mayor Adams hosted a Caribbean-American Heritage reception to acknowledge and thank Caribbean-American New Yorkers for the many contributions they make to enrich our city.
June was also LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Mayor Adams marched in New York City’s Pride Parade to mark the culmination of Pride Month. It was wonderful to march in the world’s largest and oldest LGBTQ+ Pride march to reaffirm our commitment to equality for all.
Mayor Adams hosted a roundtable meeting with African American community leaders from Staten Island. It was an opportunity to meet with community leaders to discuss ways we can continue serving our city together. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
