Dear Fellow New Yorker,
This past week, Mayor Adams hosted the Guyanese Heritage reception at Gracie Mansion. From Richmond Hill to South Ozone Park, New York City proudly hosts the largest Guyanese community outside of Guyana.
This past weekend, the Mayor attended and marched in the 7th annual International Peruvian Parade in Queens. This community is 80,000 strong — and growing — in NYC!
Our "Schoolyards to Playgrounds" program is giving kids a safe space to be outside this summer as we repurpose empty schoolyards and put tens of thousands of additional New Yorkers within walking distance of a park.
Lastly, the Rise Up Concert series continues this weekend! For more information and full concert schedule, go here.
For the latest updates, please follow CAU on Twitter and Facebook, and be sure to check out the Mayor's "Week In Review" video below.
All the best, Fred Kreizman Commissioner, Community Affairs Unit Office of the Mayor |
