Dear Fellow New Yorker, As the fall season continues, we take great pride in honoring the vibrant cultures and communities that make New York City so special.
Last few weeks, we had the joy of celebrating Italian Heritage, Hispanic Heritage and Diwali at Gracie Mansion. These celebrations were a powerful reminder of the traditions, contributions, and shared values that connect us all. From music and art to food and family, our city continues to thrive because of the diversity and unity that define us as New Yorkers. As we celebrate these heritages, we also take this moment to extend our warmest wishes to everyone who observed the Jewish High Holidays. May this season of reflection bring you peace, joy, and renewal.
Lastly, October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to come together as a city to support survivors, raise awareness, and strengthen our shared commitment to compassion, safety, and justice. When we stand united, we send a clear message that every New Yorker deserves to live free from fear and full of hope.
