DOB Customer Service Windows Open Today

Due to continued travel delays as a result of Wednesday’s storm, all DOB Customer Service Windows will be open today, Friday, September 3, 2021 but with limited service. Customers are encouraged to use DOB's online services. Read our Service Notice.

All online and phone appointments, as well as all online transactions, will continue as normal. DOB Customer Service Windows are scheduled to resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, after the Labor Day holiday.

Another Service Notice will be posted if additional changes in service are required.

New Borough Industry Meetings and Q&A Sessions

Beginning next week, DOB will be hosting new online bi-weekly Q&A sessions and new monthly borough-specific industry meetings. For the schedule of these upcoming sessions and to sign-up to attend, visit the Upcoming Events page.

The online Q&A sessions are intended for property owners, registered design professionals, filing representatives and other construction professionals to ask job specific questions about filings in DOB NOW and the Buildings Information System (BIS). The sessions are also an opportunity for you to get answers to your questions about permits, construction codes, zoning regulations, Certificates of Occupancy, and violations.

The online borough-specific industry session will be held monthly for registered design professionals to discuss policy and business process questions that are not job specific. These virtual meetings will provide industry members with a review of recent updates and policy decisions at the Department.
