MAYOR BLOOMBERG WISHES NEW YORKERS A SHANAH TOVAH U'METUKAH

“Over the next two days, families from across the city will gather in homes and synagogues to celebrate Rosh Hashanah – the beginning of a new year on the Hebrew calendar, which marks a time for renewal and repentance. Even as many families struggle to make ends meet, the holiday reminds us that there is always help we can give to neighbors in need. Rosh Hashanah is also a reminder of the diversity and tolerance that helped build our city and continues to strengthen it today. I want to wish all New Yorkers who are celebrating the holiday a shanah tovah u’metukah.
