"I applaud today's decision by Judge Weinstein to reject unequivocally the attempt to dismiss the City's lawsuit against gun dealers that we caught selling illegally.  These dealers - if they refuse to settle on the same reasonable terms already accepted by 12 of the 27 dealers we have sued - must be held fully accountable for their irresponsible actions.  The people of New York cannot afford to allow gun dealers - whether in state or out of state - to break federal law and sell to potential criminals.  This week's arrest of two criminals who bought 83 guns in Virginia and attempted to sell them on our streets clearly demonstrates the importance of our lawsuit."
