"Strip clubs and pornographic book and video stores don't belong in our residential neighborhoods, and they don't belong next to our schools, places of worship, and daycare centers anywhere in the City. When today's unanimous decision from the Appellate Division goes into effect, New Yorkers won't have to push their strollers past porn shops, have topless bars for neighbors or have to worry about peep booths in the back of their corner magazine store.  Today's decision strengthens the zoning law and eradicates a gaping loophole that allowed strip clubs and porn shops to operate as freely as drug stores and supermarkets."
