This July MVC celebrates self expression by honoring the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, founded in 2004, is a truly unique non-profit summer day camp serving young women from low income families ages eight through eighteen throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Rock camp is actively dedicated to teaching youth empowerment through music.

	Build brighter futures with College Summit! Wednesday, July 23, 2008 College Summit NYC needs a host of volunteer college counselors. College Summit, a National non-profit organization that works to increase college enrollment rates among low-income students, hosts several workshops in coordination with volunteer college counselors to help students compile a comprehensive college list. 	Spread the word for the Susan G. Komen Foundation Monday, July 21, 2008 The Komen Greater NYC is seeking volunteers to create or join street teams this summer in a grassroots marketing effort to promote the Komen NYC Race for the Cure®. Volunteers will be assigned to one area of New York City and will be responsible for speaking with store managers and distributing materials to various locations.
