12 Emmys Awarded to Cast and Crew Members of NYC Productions
NEW YORK - The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates the NYC productions that received 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards. In total, five "Made in NY" productions took home 12 awards at the 74th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, September 12.
Succession was the biggest "Made in NY" Primetime Emmy awards winner, with four wins, including the night's top prize, Outstanding Drama Series. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver won three awards, including Outstanding Variety Talk Series for the 7th straight year in a row. Only Murders in the Building won three Awards, while Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Presents: Once Upon a Time in Late Night and Saturday Night Live each received one Emmy award.
"Congratulations to our 'Made in NY' productions that took home a total of 12 Emmys, and all of our outstanding nominees this year," said the Commissioner of the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, Anne del Castillo. "The talent and artistry of New York City's television industry is what drives our city's reputation as the creative capital of the world."
