Community Boards have an important advisory role in dealing with land use and zoning matters, the City budget, municipal service delivery, and many other matters relating to their communities' welfare. CB 9 Elects New Officers
Community Board 9 Votes in New Slate of Officers. The Newly elected officers are:
Chairperson - Andrea Crawford
1st Vice Chair - Ivan Mrakovcic
2nd Vice Chair - Rabbi Daniel Pollack
Secretary - Regina Santoro
Planning A Block Party
Come to the CB#9 office early, at least 90 days prior to the event to apply for a street activity permit for a block party. Must be 18 or older and file in person and submit a petition signed by 75% of the residents on the affected block. The petition must include legible names, signatures, addresses, and telephone numbers of residents. Please bring a Certified Check or Money Order payable to the NYC Dept. of Finance for $15.00. This permit will only be for one day and for one block. Hours of block party are 8am-9pm.
If applicant wants a sound permit for amplified sound, they must apply for at the 102PCT.
