The Health Department provides free and confidential clinics that test for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
STD Clinics accept patients from 8:30am – 3:00pm. (Central Harlem STD Clinic, Manhattanville Renaissance STD Clinic, and the Crown Heights STD clinic now offer extended hours for intake from 8:30 am until 3:30pm, Monday thru Friday.)
Please Note: Richmond STD Clinic located on Staten Island will be closing for patient intake as of June 1, 2013. All patients seeking service should be referred to the HHC’s Stapleton Family Health Center. The Stapleton Health Center is located at 111 Canal St. Staten Island, NY 10301. Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis. No appointment is necessary. People in need of primary care (including a routine STD checkup) will be referred to low/no cost services. The number of patients admitted to each clinic depends on the number of clinician hours per day, which is different in each site each day. Thus, we may at times, need to halt patient intake earlier then 3pm.

New Service: "QUICK BIC" SYPHILIS Prevention Treatment for men who have sex with men. Ask at the Triage Desk for more information. Get a penicillin injection with BIC (Bicillin) that will treat syphilis before symptoms appear and receive a syphilis test.
