The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene invites you to join any one of our five borough-wide listening sessions and share your ideas and strategies for implementing the City���s new health plan Take Care New York, to improve the health of your community. The ten priority areas for improving the health of all New Yorkers include:

- Active Living
- Heart Health
- HIV Prevention
- Promote Mental Health
- Reduce Alcohol and Substance Abuse
- Prevent and Treat Cancer
- Healthy Indoor and Outdoor Air

Take Care New York (TCNY) is the City���s strategic health agenda to help all New Yorkers live healthier and longer lives. Take Care New York tackles the leading causes of preventable illness and premature death in New York City. We focus on ten priority areas in order to:
- Improve the health status of all New Yorkers
- Advance health promoting policies and activities
- Create, sustain and strengthen community collaborations
Community and non-profit organizations, health care providers, businesses, and faith-based groups are essential to the planning and implementation of Take Care New York. We need your input on strategies and ideas to help us meet our goals and improve the health of all New Yorkers.
