Car Share
City Planning is proposing a zoning text amendment that would allow car share vehicles to park in off-street parking garages and lots in appropriate locations. Car sharing will give New Yorkers a wider range of economical transportation choices and help increase parking availability within neighborhoods - Adopted September 29, 2010.
City Planning Commission (CPC) Reports

(E)designations Text Amendment
The City Council has approved a Citywide text amendment to Section 11-15 and related sections of the Zoning Resolution, proposed by the Department of City planning, to update the regulations governing Environmental “(E)” designations. This text amendment is being closely coordinated with the New York City Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) and will result in a more streamlined and transparent (E) Program – the City’s process for establishing environmental requirements related to hazardous materials, air quality, and noise on potential development sites identified during City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) for proposed rezonings.
