The Department of Transportation (DOT) will work with selected not-for-profit
organizations to create neighborhood plazas throughout the City.
DOT will do this by transforming underused streets into vibrant,
social public spaces. Applications for the NYC Plaza Program are
now being accepted; the deadline to submit applications is June 30.

Effective Monday, May 18, 2009, Street Cleaning/Alternate Side
Parking regulations will be temporarily suspended in the Fort Greene
and Clinton Hill sections of Brooklyn's Community District 2 for
approximately six to eight weeks as the DOT installs approximately
2,000 signs with new, reduced regulations.

Effective June 28th, the new base fare for Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard
and cash/single ride ticket fares will be $2.25. Unlimited Ride
MetroCards will be $8.25 for 1-day, $27 for 7-day, $51.50 for 14-day,
and $89 for 30-day. Express bus fare cash or Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard
will be $5.50 and the 7-day Express Bus Plus Unlimited Ride MetroCard
will be $45.

You can download the map from the Web or get it by calling 311. Maps
also are available for free at the NYC Department of City Planning
bookstore at 22 Reade Street in Manhattan, in bicycle shops, libraries,
and schools.
