Child Health Plus is a comprehensive health insurance program that covers most of children's health care and dental needs. The income requirements make it possible for working families to get free or low-cost health insurance for their children.

There are a number of organizations you can contact and places you can go to enroll in public health insurance. For example, you can now enroll your children in Child Health Plus at one of the Human Resource Administration's 19 community offices. Adults may be eligible to enroll in Medicaid at these offices as well.

HealthPass is an exciting insurance option for small businesses offered by the New York Health Purchasing Alliance. The Alliance is a subsidiary of the New York Business Group on Health, and was established with the support of the Mayor's office. The goal of HealthPass is to offer small businesses in New York City many of the advantages that large employers now enjoy in purchasing employee health benefits. Employers have more flexibility and ease in managing their benefit costs and employees have a wider choice of health plans.
