Highest Scores Ever by NYC Public School Students on 4th Grade Math Exam
 
Mayor Bloomberg and Schools Chancellor Joel Klein today announced the highest scores ever achieved by New York City public school students on the State 4th Grade math exam.  The number of 4th Graders meeting or exceeding standards on the State math exam increased to 77.4% - an increase of 9.3 percentage points from last year, and an increase of 25.4 percentage points from 2002 when it was 52%.
