Mayor Bloomberg announces the selection of Alexandria Real Estate to transform a City-owned plot on Manhattan’s East Side into the East River Science Park, the largest commercial bioscience center in New York City. The $700 million project is expected to attract top healthcare and pharmaceutical companies and create more than 2,000 permanent jobs and 4,000 construction jobs over the next 10 years.
