Appoints Emily Lloyd Commissioner of Department of Environmental Protection
 
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg announces the appointment of Emily Lloyd as Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Emily Lloyd is a former Commissioner of the Department of Sanitation and a former Executive Vice President for Government and Community Affairs at Columbia University. She replaces Christopher O. Ward, who left the agency at the end of October, 2004.
