Affordable Housing Plan Reaches 55,000 Units
 
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) Commissioner Shaun Donovan today announced a major milestone in the New Housing Marketplace Plan: 55,000 units of affordable housing have now been funded, one-third of the 165,000 unit plan. The $7.5 billion plan is the largest municipal affordable housing plan in the nation’s history and will build and preserve affordable housing for 500,000 New Yorkers over ten years
